Jeffrey Haggquist, DO — Medical Director
Dr. Haggquist is a trained physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with a focus in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. His hands-on approach, including manual manipulation, is a hallmark of osteopathic medical treatment.
Dr. Haggquist completed his residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, his osteopathic internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his medical education at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Dr. Haggquist has studied with Aaron Mattes for more than 20 years, is a national specialist in the Mattes Method of Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), and conducts educational workshops and seminars on flexibility, strength, and neuromuscular re-education.
ACSM-CPT, AIS Therapist
Kevin is a staff AIS therapist and certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He integrates training programs with the Mattes Method of Active Isolated Stretching and Strengthening emphasizing core strength, soft tissue trigger and tender point therapy, and overall flexibility. Prior to his professional interest in fitness and rehabilitation, he was Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst for a major national publishing company.
LMT, AIS Therapist
A graduate of the Arizona School of Massage Therapy in Phoenix, Andi has Board Certification for massage therapy, National Sports Massage Certification and extensive training in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and Strengthening. A busy mother of three, Andi believes that training and intuition are both key to successful therapeutic massage. She brings a gentle demeanor and a heart centered approach to her profession. She is currently working on her Personal Training and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Certification.
PT, DPT, MS, ATC, CSCS
Jarred earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. He completed rigorous clinical internships at the US Air Force Academy and the University of Tennessee, excelling in sports performance, innovative rehabilitation, injury prevention, and recognizing movement dysfunctions. He believes that addressing injuries as part of interdependent systems rather than in isolation is critical to healing. His clinical interests include shoulder dysfunction, hip pain and the physically active population.
NSCA-CPT, AIS Therapist, LMT
Gabriel uses an innovative blend of manual therapy techniques, AIS, full-chain foundational movement patterning and full-body strength training of fundamental movement patterns. He has over 13 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist and trainer.
LMT, Trager® Practitioner
After a car accident, Aleen tried various types of bodywork and movement education techniques, and she especially loved the gentle movements of the Trager approach. She is a certified Trager practitioner and licensed massage therapist, and also has training in basic manual lymphatic drainage and AIS.
Physician & Assistant to Medical Director
Klodian is originally from Albania, and studied medicine at the University of Florence in Italy, graduating with his MD in 2012. He moved to Washington, DC in 2013 and is currently applying to residencies across the US. He assists Dr. Haggquist, and follows up with patients, providing helpful resources after appointments.
Claudia has over 30 years experience working in medical offices and hospitals around the country, as she has followed her physician husband from Omaha, to New York City, to DC. Claudia believes in the strong commitment QuistMD demonstrates in helping patients reach their goals. She loves the relaxed atmosphere in the office and the sound of laughter heard daily from both patients and staff.

As the Front Office Manager, Anna's is the first smiling face you will see when you walk through our doors. She believes in a holistic approach to medicine and is currently pursuing a dual Master's in Public Health and Master's in Business Administration.
David Pitts, Jr.
Intern & Blog Writer
David is a current undergraduate student at Washington College, studying Biology and Physics with the goal of becoming an osteopathic physician. As an intern, David worked in all parts of the office, gaining experience in a medical environment and growing his desire to pursue medicine. We are thrilled that he will continue to contribute blog posts for our site although he has returned to his full-time studies.
